Opening the battery compartment

Having trouble opening the battery compartment on your cooking thermometer or remote sensor? 

• Cooking Thermometer: The battery compartment is usually illustrated in the operating manual but in the event it is not, the battery compartment is located on the back of the device. You should see a small tab that can be lifted open.
  
  

• Remote Sensor: There is a latch on the bottom of the device. Pull the latch up grabbing it from the bottom of the unit (by the vents) and pulling it towards the back. It will pop open like a hinge. If it is stiff, you may need a tool to help pry it open.

• Instant-Read Thermometers: If your compartment is held down by a screw and that screw is stripped and you are unable to open it to replace the battery, please provide us with a picture of the stripped screw along with your Order ID number and full shipping address and we will look into replacing this for you if it is within warranty.
