Accuracy Test Follow
I am not sure if my hygrometer is reading accurately, how do I check?
If you just unpackaged this device, we first recommend giving the device a couple hours to acclimatize to its environment before comparing the readings. DO NOT use these devices outdoors as the sensors are not designed for outdoor usage and will not read accurately.
If you want to check the humidity accuracy of your device, you can try doing a humidity salt test. Instructions on how to perform a salt test can be found in the link below:

If you have another device that is known to be accurate such as a home thermostat or another hygrometer, you can try a side-by-side comparison test, please allow a few hours for the device to adjust before comparing the readings.
Please keep in mind most of our devices have a +/- 2 F temperature tolerance and a +/- 3% humidity tolerance. The specifications for the accuracy of each model can be found on the product page.
