White Probe Not Charging or Responding Follow
Is your white probe no longer charging or being recognized by the booster?
It may be possible the charging ports are clogged. Do you mind checking to see if the charging ports on both the TempSpike probe and booster are cleaned properly and have a solid connection? You may need a toothpick or old toothbrush to clean out these charging contacts. This can prevent the probes from charging and cause connection issues.
Also, the charging contact on the top of the booster could be oxidized somewhat which could prevent the probes from charging, do you mind trying to polish the boosters charging contact with either sandpaper, wool cloth or a rough sponge to see if it fixes this?
After cleaning both the probe and booster contacts, we may need to reset the booster completely and then re-pair the probes.
To do so:
1. Make sure the probes have been charging for at least an hour to give them some battery life.
2. Remove the probes from the booster, then press and hold down the S button on the booster for 10 seconds until a beep is heard, this will reset the booster.
3. With the probes still removed from the booster, press and hold down the S button on the booster for 3-4 seconds, this will re-pair the probes to the booster.
If you have the TP980 TempSpike Pro model, simply remove the probe from the charging dock and then hold down the PROBE button for 3-4 seconds to pair it.
If this was unsuccessful, please specify which model thermometer you have and the color of the probe that is defective.
