Is the probe waterproof?

The probe is not waterproof. You can use it to measure liquids and oils but if the connection area between the metal probe and mesh cable gets wet, it could potentially damage the probe. So do not immerse the probe all the way into the liquid or oil.

When cleaning the probes, wipe them off with a damp cloth.
