How do I use the instant read? Follow
Instant-Read Thermometers are not meant to be left in the food while it cooks. Instead, they are used to check internal food temperatures towards the end of cooking. They will read the temperature instantly in a matter of seconds.
With our probe tip design, the tip of the probe should always be inserted into the thickest middle part of the food. If it is inserted too far or not enough, the sensor could be picking up ambient air temperature readings.
Instant-Read Thermometers are a great tool when cooking multiple pieces of food when you have guests over or if you're doing your meal preparation for the week!
When working with multiple pieces of food and transferring the probe from a hotter piece of food to a cooler one, you may experience higher temperatures than expected in the cooler piece and this can be caused simply by the probe being warmer than the food itself.
You may need to keep a glass of cold water close to cool off the probe or allow the probe some time to cool off before inserting into another piece of food for the most accurate readings.
To clean your probe, simply use a damp cloth with dish soap and water, do not put the device into the dishwasher.
