Battery Related Issues Follow
Is your battery dead or no longer charging? Do you have another battery related issue? This article will go over everything you need to know!
First, lets go over what to do if your device is not powering on.
1. If you just received your package and your device operates off of a AAA battery, please make sure to remove the clear plastic wrapping from the battery. This is sometimes overlooked and confused with a dead battery.
2. Ensure the battery is inserted fully and against the correct polarities. We have had many emails and calls where the battery was just not seated properly in the battery compartment.
3. Try replacing the battery! It's possible the battery that came with the unit may have been low upon arrival. This is unlikely but still a possibility, try inserting a brand new battery to see if it fixes the issue!
4. Fully charge your device (if you have a rechargeable device)! Our devices do arrive with a charge but it is recommended to fully charge your device before using it. The majority of our devices will have a battery indicator. There should either be a solid red light or flashing red light while charging. This light will either turn green or turn off completely. Please refer to your manual as some models differ.
5. After checking all of the above, try powering on your device. If you're still unable to power on your device, the battery/device is most likely defective and will need to be replaced. Please Contact Us with your Order and Shipping information along with a brief description of the issue and one of our agents will replace this for you if it is within warranty!
Now lets go over the expected battery life for your device.
Instant-Read Cooking Thermometers: 6-12 months depending on usage
Cooking Thermometers (AAA Batteries): 6-12 months depending on usage
Rechargeable Cooking Thermometers (lithium battery): 7-12 months depending on usage
TempSpike: Probe > 36 hours, Booster > approximately 3 months

Rechargeable Outdoor Remote Sensors (lithium battery): 7-12 months depending on location, if setup in colder climates you can expect less
As you know, over the years battery life can lessen the more you use and recharge your device. If you're experiencing a shorter battery life within a short period of time, please Contact Us with your Order and Shipping information along with a brief description of the issue and one of our agents will look further into this and replace this if necessary if it is within warranty!

The battery delivered with the tp357s worked 6-8 weeks. I hope, the new battery will work much longer.
